Meat production; number of slaughterings and carcass weight by species
Description
This table contains monthly figures on the production of meat by agricultural holdings. Information on the number of approved animals slaughtered and the carcass weight of those animals, by species, shall be provided.
N.B. The large differences in the figures for 2001 compared to previous and subsequent years were caused by the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in March 2001 and the subsequent measures.
Data available from: January 1990.
Status of figures:
The monthly figures for one year remain provisional after first publication during that year. At the end of the year, the figures become definitive and may have been adjusted on the basis of the annual figures received and/or other improved figures.
Changes as of 30 October 2024:
Provisional figures for August 2024 have been added. Provisional figures for May 2024, June 2024 and July 2024 have been adjusted.
When will there be new figures?
New monthly figures will become available two months after the end of the reporting month.
