Description
— § 20(2) of the Land Nature Protection Act (LNatG M-V) designates geotopes that are subject to legal protection.
— The legally protected geotopes are entered in a directory, the register of legally protected biotopes and geotopes (§ 20(5) and (6) LNatG M-V)
— List is kept on the basis of legal jurisdiction, exceptions are national parks and biosphere reserves
— Mapping of geological objects, including legally protected geotopes, by the Department of Geology of LUNG M-V
— Geotopes are recorded on the basis of the working manual Geotope Protection in Germany (Applied Landscape Ecology, H. 9, 1996)
— Selection of legally protected geotopes on behalf of the Department of Nature Conservation and Large Protected Areas (GSG) of the LUNG M-V
— For each legally protected geotope there is a detection document Geotope.
— Geotope recording documents are stored in the subdirectory as pdf-file (G2_*.pdf) for each legally protected geotope.
— Recording documents of the geotopes can be called up in the map portal Environment via a link (thematic query).
