North Pseudo-Cantons - Pas-de-Calais
Description
Administrative organisation of the territory. Unlike the canton, the "Canton-ou-ville" (or pseudo-canton) is a grouping of one or more entire communes. In urban agglomerations, each canton generally comprises part of the main municipality and possibly one or more peripheral municipalities. In this case, INSEE considers the entire main municipality as a single and distinct pseudo-canton. For the peripheral commune or communes, the pseudo-canton considered is then identical to the true canton amputated from the fraction of the principal commune that includes the true canton.
