Base Volpriehausen Formation
Description
The base of the Volpriehausen formation marks the beginning of the Middle Buntsandstein. Gaps in the distribution are particularly high above and along salt structures. The Volpriehausen formation is eroded, especially in the western areas in the slope end, by the undercrowdance. The low altitude generally increases from northwest to southeast. High altitudes are mainly located above the salt cushion Lilli/Leila and along the Diapir flanks of the salt wall Lollo/Lisa.
