Geology — geothermal energy
Description
The Geological Service SH deals with the possibilities for geothermal use of the deep and near-surface subsurface. The maps of this service show potential areas for the hydrothermal use of sandstone horizons (Rhät, Dogger and Middle Sandstone), the thermal conductivity of the near-surface subsurface up to 100 m depth, and the suitability of the soil for the construction of geothermal heat collectors.
