Land use plan of the city of Göttingen (Umring) – WMS
Description
The land use plan as a “preparatory land management plan” of the city of Göttingen represents the intended land use for the entire urban area in broad lines. As a formal planning tool, it manages the urban development within the municipality. From the land use plan for sub-areas of the city, the so-called “binding land management plans” are derived, which contain more detailed definitions for the respective sub-areas. The purpose of the land use plan is to present the type of construction space, open spaces, among other important uses for the city as a whole, in view of the planned urban development for the entire urban area. It must take into account the overarching objectives of spatial planning and regional planning, but also take into account the concerns of nature and landscape and other specialist planning.
