Ground-Permanent Observation in Brandenburg — Interoperable INSPIRE View-Service (WMS-EF-BDF)
Description
The interoperable INSPIRE-View Service (WMS) Environmental Monitoring Facilities provides an overview of the locations of the measuring points of the soil-permanent observation areas in the state of Brandenburg.
Soil duration observation is an instrument for long-term monitoring of changes in the state and functions of the soil in accordance with the Federal Soil Protection Act or other sub-legislative regulations. The objectives of soil duration observation are to determine the current state of soils, the long-term monitoring of soil changes and the derivation of forecasts for the future development of soils. In addition to the designation of the soil long-term observation area, information on the type of use, the main natural-spatial unit group, the ground exit rock, the soil type, the soil type of the upper soil and the category for their selection are stored as material data.
According to the INSPIRE data specification Environmental Monitoring Facilities (D2.8.III.7_v3.0), the content is INSPIRE compliant. The WMS includes the following layers:
— EF.EnvironmentalMonitoringFacilites: individual measuring point locations for soil-duration observation
— EF.EnvironmentalMonitoringNetwork: aggregate measurement sites for soil-duration observation as a network at the level of the federal state.
The WebMapService (WMS) is provided in versions 1.1.1 and 1.3.0.
