SR16 – Forest resource map 16x16 meters
Description
SR16 is a comprehensive dataset that provides an overview of the distribution and characteristics of the country’s forest resources. SR16 is divided into SR16R which is a raster map and SR16V which is a vector map. The dataset is produced through automatic processes such as a combination of excitation maps (AR5), terrain models, 3D remote sensing data (photogrammetry and laser) and country forest surfaces. SR16 is depicted as a pixel map (16 x 16 meters) and as a vector map generalising the pixel map to larger figures (polygons) of relatively homogeneous forest. Most properties in SR16V are calculated as an average of the values from the pixels in SR16R.
