JHS 196 EUREF-FIN coordinates in Finland
Description
This Recommendation describes the national realisation of the ETRS89 pan-European comparison system EUREF-FIN and recommends its use in atlases and spatial data services, among other things, instead of the mapping system (KKJ). The recommendation is intended primarily for producers of spatial data sets and systems, but also for users. The recommendation is of a technical nature. Its objective is to support the use of ETRS89 in Finland and to harmonise the benchmarking framework used. This JHS recommendation replaces the JHS 153 ETRS89 coordinates in Finland.
The recommendation is written in the format of the technical specification described in the JHS 136 Recommendation. The requirements are separated from the rest of the text and the form of the requirements is shown in bold. The requirements set out in this JHS Recommendation are not binding on public administration organisations. However, the users of the recommendation should take into account, among other things, the legislation related to the INSPIRE Directive. The Recommendation provides the tools for completing the INSPIRE regulations for coordinate reference systems.
