Zoning of urban planning documents of Lorient Agglomération

Description

Zoning of the POS (Plan d'Occupation des Sols) and PLU (Plan Local d'Urbanisme) of the 25 member municipalities of Lorient Agglomération. Zoning covers the entire municipal territory with the exception of the sectors covered by a Safeguarding and Development Plan. The Town Planning Code defines four main types of zones (R.123-5 to 8): urban (U), urban (AU), agricultural (A) or natural and forestry (N) areas. Each zoning is attached to a written regulation setting different rules according to the destination of the constructions (R.123-9). This database aggregates municipal data that comply with the National Requirements of the CNIG (National Council for Geographic Information). **Collection context** The GIS (Geographic Information System) mission works the data of the municipalities so that they can comply with national and European standards and aggregates them throughout the agglomeration. Zonings are sectors to which a specific regulation applies corresponding to the objectives set by the urban planning document resulting from the various studies carried out on the territory by the municipalities, the services of Lorient Agglomération and/or the design offices.
