Residential park areas Wuppertal

The data set of the occupant park areas Wuppertal includes the delimitations and designations of (as of 05/2023) 143 area-based occupant park areas in the Wuppertal urban area. "residential parking areas" are those areas within resident parking zones on which cars with a resident parking card valid for the respective zone may be parked. The application for such a resident parking card can be submitted digitally via the Wuppertal service portal. The boundaries of the occupant parking areas were constructed for the first time in 03/2023 on the basis of the street and address area assignments in the public occupant parking zone list and via a comparison with the traffic sign register on the basis of the official base map ABK. For each surrounding polygon of a resident parking area, the data set also contains the two name components, with the combination of which the associated resident parking zone is clearly designated, namely the ZONE (abbreviation of a maximum of 4 capital letters) and the NR (optional alphanumeric subdivision of the zone). The continuation of the data set by the Roads and Traffic Department takes place irregularly, in each case promptly after a change in the occupant parking zones and areas. The digital continuation process is currently under construction. The open data record, which is available in shape, KML and GeoJSON format under an open data license (CC BY 4.0), is nevertheless automatically updated in a fixed, weekly cycle.
