Soils with special properties - wet and moist soils

Description

The derivations of the criterion are based on the soil function map ‘Natural soil fertility’. The floor areas rated at level I (very low) were selected from the map. From these, the soils with terrestrial, dry properties were separated. Particularly semi-terrestrial soils with high to very high groundwater levels as well as soils with high reservoir water properties are depicted. These soils are moist or wet all year round. They have a small root space and low to very low water storage properties. Typical natural plant communities and soil organisms are adapted to these soil conditions.
