State Fire Brigade Day Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart - Geographic Reference Information - P01

Description

The 11th On behalf of the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (BBK), the ZKI of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Stuttgart is showing possibilities of using different sensors for situational awareness support. On 28 and 29 June, both terrestrial and remote sensing-based data and information will be collected and visualized in near real time as part of a sensor network system. The aim of this study is to evaluate to what extent, e.g. in major events, situational awareness and decision support for crisis teams and emergency forces can be supported by the joint use of different sensor systems and recording platforms. The map shows the event grounds and parking areas of the State Fire Brigade Day. In addition, important transport infrastructure is presented. A WorldView 2 satellite image from 18 May 2013 with a resolution of 50 cm forms the map background. This product was created within the framework contract “ZKI-DE” between the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) and the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR).
