Description

Topographic maps are landscape-descriptive maps that depict the earth's surface in its various forms - settlements, traffic routes, borders, waters, terrain forms and vegetation - in a vivid, as complete and clear way as possible depending on the map scale. Signatures and map fonts help to explain the topographical objects. The topographic map at a scale of 1:50 000 is produced using the method "Digitally Guided Topographic Map (ATKIS-DTK)" on the basis of the Digital Landscape Model 1:50 000 (ATKIS-DLM50). It complies with the requirements applicable throughout Germany for the map content, the geodetic basis, the character key and the layout. The update takes place in periodic cycles. -This dataset is only available free of charge on online retrieval.-
