Highly sensitive areas for acidification (WAV) (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)
Description
This stock contains sensitive, highly sensitive areas for acidification (obv WAV) as established in the Environmental Vision of Groningen 2016-2020.
Fertilisation and acidification have a negative impact on the recovery and development of natural values. In the design of new nature areas, we reduce these problems with measures such as optimisation of water management and removal of the fertilised upper layer.
The ammonia and livestock farming Act (WAV) protects highly vulnerable areas of our nature network against the emissions of ammonia from livestock farms. On the basis of this law, we have identified the ammonia sensitive areas in the Environment Regulation.
