SEFRAK buildings Kongsberg Municipality
Description
The data set contains SEFRAK buildings in Kongsberg municipality. SEFRAK is a register of older buildings and other cultural monuments in Norway. The name is an abbreviation for the Secretariat For Registration of Permanent Cultural Heritage, which was the name of the institution that started work on the register. The fact that a house is registered in SEFRAK does not automatically give protection status, nor does it place specific restrictions on what can be done about it. The SEFRAK register does not say anything about the objects’ conservation value.
The data set contains a number of buildings that are missing in the nationwide dataset of SEFRAK buildings from the Directorate for Cultural Heritage. The data in the dataset was mainly collected in the early 1990s. In retrospect, sporadic corrections have been made, but it is important to note that the dataset contains some errors (e.g. buildings that have been demolished). There are also cases where the same building has different locations in this dataset and the SEFRAK dataset from the Directorate for Cultural Heritage. On this basis, the data must be used critically.
