Description
The vector dataset shows the value for a series of individual European cities (included in Urban Audit) of the extent of the area potentially at flood risk (return period of 100 years) within the core city, as well as the percentage of the potential flood plain classed as urban fabric (Urban Atlas 2012 class 1.1) and as "industrial, commercial, etc." (Urban Atlas 2012 class 1.2).
The dataset is derived from the Flood hazard map for Europe - 100-year return period from the European Commission, Joint Research Centre (2016) based on LISFLOOD model (Burek et al. 2013), Copernicus Land Monitoring Service dataset of Delineation of Riparian Zone (potential riparian zone layer) with temporal reference 2011-2013 and the classification from the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service Urban Atlas 2012.
