Description
Industry plays an important role in our society, on the other hand it has a major impact on the environment. To address this, industrial installations with a potentially high impact on the environment are subject to European legislation on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC). This dataset contains the IPPC installations under the scope of the Industrial Emissions Directive. The GPBV installations are sorted by main activity. This is the activity shown in bold after clicking on a GPBV installation.Next categories and types occur:- GPBV installations industry: Energy industries; Production and processing of metals; Mineral industry; Chemical industry; Waste management; Pulp and paper industry & the production of wood board materials; Textile industry; Tanneries; Slaughterhouses & food; Destruction or treatment of carcasses or animal waste; Surface treatment using organic solvents; Manufacture of carbon or electrographite by incineration or graphitisation; Capturing CO2 streams for geological storage; Preservation of wood and wood products using chemicals;Self-operated treatment of waste water- IPPV installations livestock: Intensive poultry farming; Intensive rearing of pigs for fattening; Intensive pig farming for sowsIt is possible that a type does not contain installations, this type is not displayed in the Geopunt map or INSPIRE map application.
