Depth of the base upper chalk in the duck beak
Description
The upper chalk is spread throughout the duck beak and reaches depths of up to 3 600 m. The largest depths are reached in the northwest and along the border with the Danish sector. These sink areas are separated from each other by a NNW-SSE, presumably fault-bound high position. The flattest spot is located directly on the edge of the Bruni salt structure. In the area of the central trench, the depth of the area is very clearly bound to the genesis of some disturbance and salt structures.
