Informal hydrogeological stratigraphy
Description
An informal hydrogeological stratigraphy of a bore shows, based on the (coded) lithology, a classification according to the aquifer or non-aquifer properties of a certain described depth interval. The difference with hydrogeological stratigraphy is that no general standard is used for informal hydrogeological stratigraphy. In hydrogeological stratigraphy, the Hydrogeological Coding of the Subsurface of Flanders (HCOV) is used. This can be considered as the official hydrogeological coding for the Flemish Region.
