Environmental Indicators NRW
Description
The environmental indicators of the LANUV are measurement and key figures with which both the current environmental situation and development trends can be clearly presented and evaluated. Environmental indicators make complex aspects such as air quality, water quality, energy and raw material consumption or the use of open spaces measurable. A description of the environmental status by means of environmental indicators does not claim to draw a complete picture. Rather, the aim is to highlight relevant aspects, the state and development of which is of particular interest. According to the survey cycle, the set of indicators on the Internet is updated once a year on the basis of the data available. The data set contains time series data on the following NRWEnvironmental Indicators: —Greenhouse gas emissions -Renewable energy at primary energy and gross electricity consumption -Cogeneration at net electricity generation -Primary and final energy consumption -Energy productivity -raw consumption and raw material productivity -Nitrogen oxide emissions -Nitrogen dioxide concentration in the urban background -Ozone concentration in the urban background -Economic dust concentration in the urban background -Noise pollution -Household waste and recovery -Government consumption -Heavy metal input at rural stations -Ecological state of the above ground level flowing water -Nitrate concentration in groundwater -Hazardous species -Natural protected areas -Laub/need tree content -Forest condition -Nitrogen and acid input -Organic agriculture -Agricultural land with high natural value -Nitrogen area balance (nitrogen surplus of agricultural land)
