Description
This table provides information on the number of pigs in agricultural holdings in the Netherlands.
The number of pigs can be divided into:
— type of pig (biggs, meat pigs and breeding pigs);
— reference date (April, August and December).
N.B. The large differences in the 1997 figures compared to previous and subsequent years were caused by the outbreak of swine fever in February 1997 and subsequent clearances.
Data available from: April 1981 to December 2020.

The figures are final.
