The natural-spatial structure as a subject area in the map portal Umwelt M-V consists of the following hierarchical levels
- Landscape zones
- Large landscapes
- Landscape units
- Natural areas
The version of the natural spatial structure for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on which digitisation is based was drawn up separately for the terrestrial and marine sectors (cf. sources) and merged in 2001 by the company Umweltplan on behalf of the LUNG and moved to the national borders and coastlines of the ATKIS base DLM (1. Implementation stage) adapted.
