Types of beaches and erosion damage of Turku-Houtskari ferry route 2002
Description
The data was collected in the terrain and the purpose was to find out the types of beaches and erosion damage on the Turku-Houtskari ferry route. The beaches are divided into eight categories (built, rock, boulder, rocky, gentle moraine, steep moraine, sand and fine material) and damage levels to three (major, small and lake reed damage). The data was collected for the thesis of the Department of Geography at the University of Turku. The data was collected in the terrain in June-September 2002. The data is suitable for examining the beach types and erosion damage of the Turku-Houtskari ferry route.
