Agricultural mineral balance
Description
This table contains data on the soil balance of the minerals nitrogen and phosphorus. These are figures on the supply to agricultural land (animal manure, fertiliser, air deposition and other supplies) and the removal of agricultural land (nitrogen volatilisation of manure and disposal through crops). The loss to the soil is equal to the difference between supply and drainage. The table also shows the figures for nitrogen loss to air.

Status of the figures:
Figures up to 2020 are final.
In order to achieve a coherent and consistent time series, the complete time series is (re)calculated each year, so that the latest insights, in particular as regards emission factors, can be taken into account in the calculations.
Amendments as of 23 December 2022:
Final figures for 2021 have been added.
When will there be new figures?
Final figures for the 1990-2022 series will be published in December 2023.
