The map shows sampling locations for monitoring radioactivity in food. The data is collected as part of the Integrated Measurement and Information System (IMIS) by the Länder on behalf of the Federal Government (see [http://www.bfs.de/DE/themen/ion/notfallschutz/messnetz/imis/imis_node.html]. The points shown represent the respective administrative unit (municipality).
