Nitrogen deposition (history)
Description
Total nitrogen deposition in 2004.nitrogen deposition consists of ammonia (NH3) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) and derived products. From the air, this deposition drops to the bottom. Nitrogen deposition leads to acidification and fertilisation, which reduces the sensitive habitat types in area or deteriorates in condition. An increase in nitrogen deposition can have negative consequences for the quality of habitats in the nature reserve.
