Description
This file shows the boundary of the Geopark De Hondsrug. It covers a large part of eastern and central Drenthe, from the province border in the north to the south (Emmen and Coevorden), and from Assen to Nieuw-Buinen. The Hunzedal and the Drentsche Aa National Park are also part of the Hondsrug Geopark. Parts of the site, such as the Drouwenerzand, are so valuable that they have been designated as Natura 2000 site.
