Description
The map Minimum temperature: Average temperature of the minimum of the coldest month (Co), belongs to a group of thematic maps based on agroclimatic variables called Characterization or Agroclimatic Information. The minimum temperature map corresponds to a model of the minimum temperatures of the coldest month represented by a map of hypsometric inks, in which each region of Spain is characterized according to the minimum temperature it reaches, -8oC - -6oC, -6oC - -4oC, -4oC - -2oC, -2oC - 0oC, 0oC - 2oC, 2oC - 4oC, 4oC - 6oC, more than 6oC. This information is produced by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food using geostatistical interpolation (kriging) methods from data from 1803 stations belonging to the network of the former National Institute of Meteorology (current State Meteorological Agency – AEMET).
