Description
This table contains data on the production of organic certified farms in a (harvest) year. Only companies with at least EUR 3000 SO (Standard Income) are included in the census.
For all agricultural products, the quantity and unit shall be presented. Production has been calculated on the basis of information on organic farms from the Agricultural Count and information on slaughter weights and from crop estimates arable farming, vegetables open land and apples and pears.
The dairy data is obtained through Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO.nl).
The data on mussels are obtained through PO Mosselculture.
The agricultural census is part of the combined declaration, which is used inter alia for the implementation of agricultural policy and enforcement of the Fertilisers Act.
The CBS harvest estimates are based on surveys, which are carried out among agricultural holdings from a sample.
Cheese production 2021 is lower than previous years. This year, the production of milk products has been requested from the producers for the first time. Previously, production was estimated. This other method has shown that cheese production is lower than expected. The production figures for previous years will be adjusted.

Status of the figures:
The 2021 figures are provisional, the remaining figures are final.
Amendments as of 27 December 2022:
The establishment of the figures for the production of organic milk products (stroke cream, butter, cheese and yogurt, etc.) has improved with effect from reporting year 2021. As a result of this improvement, a trend break has occurred between the 2021 figures and previous years’ figures. Therefore, the figures have been corrected from 2015 to 2020.
