LOFAR (Environmental Vision 2014) (history)
Description
Version of LOFAR adopted by Provincial Staten van Drenthe on 2 July 2014. In recent years, ASTRON has built a new radio telescope: LOFAR (Low Frequency Array). LOFAR consists of several thousand small antennas that are clustered in the central LOFAR area near Exloo and Buinen and in outdoor stations in both Drenthe, Groningen, Fryslan and Overijssel. It’s in Map 1: Vision; map 4: Robust socio-economic system; map 7: Search area large-scale wind energy.
