Project commitments: Special evaluation travel time ratio

Description

The special evaluation is a result of the research project "Bindings" carried out on behalf of the BMDV (R&D - project number 97.421/2019). The project was carried out by a consortium led by the Federal Statistical Office with the participation of the teaching and research area Freight Transport Planning and Transport Logistics of the University of Wuppertal, the Federal Employment, Information and Technology Agency of North Rhine-Westphalia, Prof. Dr. Ralf Münnich (University of Trier), Prof. Dr. Timo Schmid (Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg) and Teralytics GmBH. The special evaluation includes the accessibility in motorised private transport (mIV) versus public passenger transport (ÖPV) as well as the travel time ratio of employees subject to social security contributions and only marginally paid (SvB and aGeB) according to RegioStar7 room types. The results are experimental in nature. They are based on an innovative combination of data from different sources using new methods. In terms of methodological maturity, they differ from the results of official statistics.
