LAPRO2009_Climate_Soil_groundwater — LAPRO2009 — Safeguarding rare, near-natural soils within the framework of forest management (soil protection forest)
Description
The Map Service (WMS Group) presents the spatial data from the Saarland landscape program as the theme map Climate-Soil Groundwater.: Especially rare soil types with a particularly natural character are among the special protective products from the point of view of soil protection. The landscape program therefore proposes rare soil forms on historical forest sites as areas with probably the slightest anthropogenic soil changes (“rare, near-natural soils”) for designation as soil conservation forests according to § 19 Landeswaldgesetz. Here, forest management should apply particularly gentle economic practices with regard to soil protection in terms of path development, stocking and machinery use. see Saarland Landscape Programme, Chapter 2.3
