Project commitments: Shapefiles Bindings Cells

Description

The dataset is a result of the research project "Bindings" carried out on behalf of the BMDV (R&D - project number 97.421/2019). The project was carried out by a consortium led by the Federal Statistical Office with the participation of the teaching and research area Freight Transport Planning and Transport Logistics of the University of Wuppertal, the Federal Employment, Information and Technology Agency of North Rhine-Westphalia, Prof. Dr. Ralf Münnich (University of Trier), Prof. Dr. Timo Schmid (Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg) and Teralytics GmBH. The shapefiles were created in the project by the Bergische Universität Wuppertal (teaching and research area freight transport planning and transport logistics, specialist center mobility & transport). The "connection cells" were built up from administrative areas in combination with the RegioStar7 room type of the BMDV. Since the shapefiles consist of 6 data sets, they are offered as a zip archive.
