National interests for the military part of total defence
Description
Total defence consists of two parts — a military and a civilian part. The Swedish Armed Forces report areas of national interest and of importance for the military part of the total defence. The boundaries of the areas are reported on the basis of available property data from the Swedish Fortifications Agency. According to the Ordinance (1988:896) on the management of land and water resources, etc., the Swedish Armed Forces is the sector authority regarding the reporting of areas that the authority considers to be of national interest for the military part of the total defence. The concept of military component also includes civil authorities such as FOI, FRA and FMV whose interests are represented by the Swedish Armed Forces. The reporting of national interests includes facilities with impact areas that the Swedish Armed Forces assess is important from a plan point of view.
