LEADER areas, Condition 20/10/2023
Description
The LEADER areas are the 15 action areas recognised by the Flemish Government within which LEADER support can be applied for in the period 2023-2027 for rural projects that fit within the local development strategies of the local action groups. The focus is on working on innovative and sustainable local agriculture, biodiversity, landscape quality and liveable and lively villages. The LEADER support is financed by the European Union as well as by the Flemish Region and the Flemish provinces. LEADER (Liaisons entre actions de dévelopment de l'économie rurale) is a subsidy programme for rural development, in which local communities themselves are encouraged to formulate the local needs, relevant development objectives and desired actions. LEADER is part of the Flemish CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027.
