Mauves Prairie Dump — ONEVU
Description
The former landfill of the Prairie de Mauves (Nantes, France), located on the edge of Loire, owned by Nantes Métropole, received household waste, industrial, hospital and green waste during its phase of activity (1967-1987). Located on the edge of the Loire, on the alluvial plain, it is not nestled in the background. In addition to the regulatory follow-up related to the site’s status of ICPE(Installations Classified Environmental Protection), the assessment of the environmental impact of the landfill on groundwater is complemented by continuous monitoring of water levels and conductivity, and the levels of pollutants on a point-by-point basis (ETM, PAHs, medicated substances) at a set of measurement points representative of the monitoring network consisting of about 20 wells and pezometers.
