Description
Dataset of the leashes of the waters of metropolitan France BD Topage® version 2024
The water leash includes:
- The limit of the highest waters or leaves the highest seas which constitutes the upper limit of the foreshore. It separates the coastal area covered by the sea at high tide from the area never invaded by the sea. In particular, it separates wet sand zones from dry sand zones.
In the general case, it separates the maritime domain from the territory of the municipalities.
- The limit of the lowest waters or leaves the lowest seas constitutes the lower limit of the foreshore. It separates the coastal area discovered at low tide from the area still invaded by the sea. It corresponds to the zero of the nautical charts.
Corresponds to the "LandWaterBoundary" concept of Inspire.
