Description
A country is a project territory characterised by "geographical, economic, cultural or social cohesion; a place of collective action which brings together municipalities, groupings of municipalities, socio-professional organisations, companies, associations... around a joint development project; a privileged level of partnership and contractualisation that facilitates the coordination of community, state and European initiatives for local development.”
The Law on the Reform of Local and Regional Authorities of 16 December 2010 abolishes the legislative status of the countries. Article 51 of the RCT Act repeals Article 22 of the 1995 LOADT and provides that ‘contracts concluded by countries prior to that repeal shall be performed under the conditions prior to their expiry’.
