Description
The infrastructure atlas is the information and planning tool of the central information centre for broadband expansion in Germany. It shall contain georeferenced data from facilities that can be used for telecommunications purposes, provided that they can be provided in digital form by owners or operators of public utility networks. The data is made available in accordance with the user group defined by § 77a TKG (companies, but also federal government, state, districts and municipalities) within the framework of broadband expansion.: Buildings that can be used for the expansion of high-speed networks (in particular as an antenna location or technical space), but which cannot be assigned to one of the narrower categories such as HVt, KVz, POP or Funkmast. Examples include water towers, water tanks or walk-in transformer stations. In addition, public buildings are mainly depicted as potential antenna locations. The data is displayed in the scales from 1:10,000 to 1:250,000.
