Air Quality Immission Traffic 2022 Fine Dust (PM2.5)
Description
File gives a picture of the air quality of particulate matter (PM2.5) around national, provincial and municipal roads in Gelderland for the year 2022. The data has been calculated nationally using the reporting tool. For each road area the concentration is indicated at 10 meters from the edge of the road. The air quality is shown in five concentration classes. For the annual average PM2,5 concentration, a limit value of 25 µg/m³ shall apply from 2015 onwards.In addition, an ‘indicative limit value’ exists for 2020 for the annual average of 20 µg/m³. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends 10 µg/m³ as a safe standard according to the latest scientific insights. Air quality is calculated, among other things, on the basis of traffic statements and calculation models. The sources, such as industry and agriculture, have been incorporated into the background concentration. The total concentration also includes the direct contribution from road traffic. The values calculated with the model are validated to measurements along roads, in the city and in the outer area. The annual validation report of the RIVM shows that the measured concentrations and the calculated values correspond well.
