Future-proof transport infrastructure planning.
Description
On behalf of Naturschutzbund Deutschland e.V. (NABU) and the Network of European Railways (Network Europäischer Eisenbahnen e.V./DIE GÜTERBAHNEN), the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) has examined how a needs plan review for the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan 2030 is to be designed so that the applicable requirements from the objectives in nature and climate protection are taken into account. This report discusses the information and documents published so far on traffic development, traffic forecasts, implementation and financing status. Based on this, recommendations for action for a needs plan review are derived, which promotes the transport and environmental objectives of the Federal Government and the European Union.
