Accumulation of pressures that can cause physical damage by selective physical extraction in the North Atlantic Demarcation (EM NOR PRE Physical Extraction)
Description
Taking into account the spatial distribution of sand mining areas, potentially dredgeable port areas and hydrocarbon exploitation permits in the North Atlantic Demarcation, areas that could potentially have an impact by physical selective extraction have been identified. The percentage of area affected by any of the activities described is calculated for each 5x5 min mesh cell.
The ranges of values established in the mesh have been:
Very High: Greater 50 % / High: 30 to 50 % / Average: 10 to 30% / Low: 2,5 to 10 % / Very Low: less 2.5%
