International trade; import and export of services 2014-2020
Description
This table shows data on imports, exports and balances of services by companies and persons established in the Netherlands broken down by different types of services and countries (groups).
The types of services, which are used by all EU countries from 2014 onwards, are based on the “Balance of Payments Manual 6” (BPM6).

Status of the figures:
As of 2020, a redesign of international trade in services statistics took place. In order to make time series and comparison possible, it was chosen to publish 2020 in both the new and the old ways. 2020 in the old way appears in the 2014-2020 table and has been modelled using response data and help data such as tax data. The first quarter of 2021 has been temporarily added to the table in this way. Now that the new table, with 2020 and further published, is no longer available in the model way this quarter.
As of 2017, the publication and revision policy of international trade in services has been revised.
Figures on Dutch international trade in services are available quarterly and year-on-year. Preliminary quarterly figures are available one quarter after the end of the reporting period. With the publication of a new quarter, the figures for the previous quarter and, where applicable, the remaining previous quarters of the year in question are also revised using new source material (further provisional figures). When four quarters of a year are available, an annual calculation is made on the basis of these four quarterly figures. This annual calculation will be available in the autumn of the following year. The annual calculation is then adjusted the following year, this time definitive. The quarterly figures for the year in question will also be revised again.
Amendments as of 6 October 2022:
The figures for 2020 have been revised and are now final.
Amendments as of 15 October 2021:
The 2019 figures are final and the figures for 2020 have been revised.
The first quarter of 2021 is no longer available in the model manner due to the availability of the new table, in which the 2020 figures are published and further published.

Amendments as of 25 June 2021:
From the first quarter of 2020, the figures of this statistics have been affected by COVID-19 and this can be seen in some services.
The preliminary figures for the fourth quarter have been revised and are now further provisional and provisional figures for the first quarter of 2021 have been added.
When will there be new figures?
There will be no new figures, all figures are final.
