Description
WMS service corresponding to Habitat of Community Interest 1160 concerning large coves and shallow baysLarge inlets of the coast where, in contrast to estuaries, the influence of freshwater is generally very limited, and which are relatively protected from the effect of waves. The HIC would include inlets, estuaries, bays, coves, etc. The outer limit will be given by the straight line that joins the two ends of the concavity of the geographical accident, while the inner limit is given by the average height of the tides. The depth would not exceed a few tens of meters. They are environments with very variable characteristics that depend on factors such as the hardness of the substrate (rocky or sandy), exposure to waves, tidal intensity or water depth, among others. These variables condition the presence of a rich biodiversity, where fauna stands out. Node of the Andalusian Environmental Information Network. Regional Government of Andalusia.
