Description
The base saturation illustrates the proportion of plant nutrients calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium in the totality of the substances bound to the soil exchangers (cations) and is an important soil chemical characteristic for assessing the base state of forest soils. The depth of the base saturation is distinguished in 5 types by means of the curves.
