Description
The dataset contains information on geology in the Free State of Saxony.
The data set of the map works in Saxony-wide generalised the upcoming geological solid and loose rock units in scale 1:
400,000 off.
The dataset provided is the “surface” map.
The INSPIRE-compliant implementation of the cards “Quarter Covered” and “Känozoikum Covered” is currently in progress.
Incomplete data on stratigraphy and/or petrography of individual surfaces are gradually completed.
A uniform grey signature marks the incompletely attributed features.
The dataset is usable on a scale smaller than 1:
50.000.
The map work is one of 7 geological maps, which is provided for the territory of the Free State of Saxony in their own map services INSPIRE-compliant.
