Inspire — Seismological Stations in NRW — WMS
Description
This service shows the location of the seismic stations monitored by NRW. The dataset is prepared for Inspire. A network of 14 measuring stations records the earthquake activity of the Lower Rhine Bay and the surrounding area around the clock. The measurement data is transferred to the headquarters in Krefeld and evaluated. Twelve stations are located in the west of NRW, more specifically in the Lower Rhine Bay and adjacent areas of the Rheinische Schiefergebirge. Two more stations were added in 2006 in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate.
