Prosperity of private households; key figures
Description
The objective of this table is to provide an overview of the distribution of the wealth of private households in the Netherlands, measured by income, expenditure and wealth.
The figures in this table are broken down by various background characteristics of the household.
The target population consists of all private households with income as of 1 January of the reporting year.
The target population for low-income households did not include student households and households with only part of the year’s income.
Data available from: 2011.
Status of the figures:
The figures for 2011 to 2019 are final. The figures for 2020 are provisional.
Changes as of 9 February 2022:
The 2020 provisional figures for ‘Amount spent on average’ have been added.
The topic ‘Amount spent on average’ contains figures only every five years, namely in 2015 and 2020. The 2015 figures for this topic were erroneously provisional and have now been finalised.
When will there be new figures?
New figures will be published in autumn 2022.
New expenditure figures are expected in early 2022.
