The special publication explains the origin, occurrence and use of mineral and healing springs in North Rhine-Westphalia. A selection from the neighbouring federal states as well as the neighbouring states is also taken into account. An overview map completes the explanatory text. The publication also contains hydrochemical tables, which, in addition to the chemical components of the waters, also provide information on the depth of the wells, the stratigraphy of the aquifers and the type of mineral water, as well as references to further literature.
